Darius Barthell is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with over 18 years
of experience in the mental and behavioral health field. Licensed in North Carolina since
2020, Darius has dedicated his career to supporting children, adolescents, adults, and
families as they navigate life's challenges and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Darius provides psychotherapy using an integrative approach tailored to each individual's
needs. His clinical work incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered
approaches. He has extensive experience treating a range of concerns, including
depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, adjustment-related challenges, autism
spectrum disorder, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
At the core of Darius's work is a commitment to building genuine, collaborative, and
empathetic relationships with his clients. He believes that therapy is most eƯective when
individuals feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. His goal is to
create a supportive environment where clients can develop insight, strengthen coping
skills, and move confidently toward their personal goals.
Darius holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Marketing from Lenoir-Rhyne
University, as well as two Master of Arts degrees from Liberty University—one in Human
Services Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy, and another in
Professional Counseling.
