Darius Barthell

Darius Barthel, LCMHC,l is a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate at the Neuropsychiatric Care Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has a passion for working with children, adolescents, adults, and families affected by mental health disorders.

Darius earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing at the Charles M. Snipes School of Business and Economics at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. He completed master’s degrees in professional and human service counseling with a cognate in marriage and family therapy from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Darius has held a North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors license since 2020. He has 13 years of experience in mental and behavioral health, including helping patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), adjustment disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Darius is an experienced counselor who uses proven techniques, including cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness, and person-centered therapies. He believes in creating genuine, collaborative, empathic relationships with his clients and tailoring treatment programs to meet each person’s needs and goals.
